In the newly renovated McAuley Theater, members of Mount Mercy’s University Choir, Chamber/Jazz Singers, and University Band performed from their spring tour repertoire for the annual Music in March event on March 11.

Selections included: “Earth Song” (Frank Ticheli), “Mangisondele Nkosi Yam” (arr. Michael Barrett), “Psalm 23” (L. Eugene Oldham), “When the Earth Stands Still” (Don Macdonald), and “Stand for Mercy” (Dan Terrell/Jason Alberty, arr. Kent Keating).

During the program, members of the music department thanked President Laurie Hamen and Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing Terri Crumley for their vision and initiative in transforming the theater, as well as Space Project Coordinator Carol Melsha, general maintenance employee Kevin Dietrich, and Director of Facilities Dave Dennis for their support. ■
